Preliminary Task

Before I am able to begin with making my music magazine I had to complete the preliminary task where I had too produse the front page of a new school/magazube, featuring a photograph of a student in a mediam close up plus some appropiatally laid out text and a mashead. I also have to complete the layout of the contents page.

Research
Before I begin making this school magazine I did some research on other school magazine to see what was needed on there and to also to see what is consistant with different magazines. The first magazine I researched was a magazine from 'Student times.'

In this magazine cover they have used the same colours throughout. They have used the colours blue, white and black which is most likey the same colours as the uniform/logo that the school as so this allows anybody buying the magazine to know exactly what school/college this is from. The picture used is in the centre and there is a strapline used to explain what the picture is ('Benton's Bookworms') ad this also shows what may be incuded inside the magazine.

The next magazine I reasearched into was a magazine from a school called Greenfields school.

First of all you can tell with this magazine that it is aimed for a childrens school as they have a picture of 3 young children dressed up which also links to the fact that this school is a theatre company. There have a picture in the corner indecates what is going to be included in the magazine and also straplines above it to show whats going to be in there. They have their logo in the corner to show what school this magazine would be for and they have used consistant colours throughout.
